MLSPC Chairman’s Corner
Welcome to the Michigan Life Science Purchasing Consortium (MLSPC) website. We hope that you find the information on this website helpful and informative.
The MLSPC is made up of representatives from Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, Van Andel Institute, Wayne State University, and Western Michigan University. Representatives from these institutions work together to bring you, our institutional customers, negotiated pricing agreements and information to make the purchase of scientific/ research equipment and supplies as cost effective as possible.
Please take a moment to review the information on our website. In addition to our Operating Statement, you will find a list of Negotiated Agreements that include such suppliers as Affymetrix, Applied Biosystems (now part of Life Technologies), DAI Scientific (representing Baker and Sanyo), Beckman Coulter and Dot Scientific. Once you have reviewed the agreements, take a look at our past Annual Reports. These reports reflect the amount that each institution spent with each of these suppliers, and how much each institution saved by utilizing the negotiated agreements.
We look forward to a productive 2013, and have already begun talking with suppliers about future contracts. If there is a supplier that you would like us to consider in addition to those listed, please let us know by contacting your institutions representative of the MLSPC, as listed below.
